Life Insights
For a very long time, I’ve been looking for books/content where I can get insights from people’s lives — so I can learn from them and apply them to my current life problems. While I do keep reading such content, I decided to write my own insights from life. Each of the following has been thought through thoroughly. I like to keep visiting this often to remind myself of the lessons I have learnt in life.
NOTE - This list is not exhaustive and was last updated on 2026-05-11.
-
Problems are always smaller in hindsight
Take any problem you solved 5 years ago — in hindsight, it will almost always feel easier than it did at the time.
-
Walk the walk
Practice what you preach. It’s easier said than done — but practicing before advising helps you build stronger opinions with deeper reasoning.
-
The pursuit of purpose matters more than the purpose
Most people don’t know their “purpose.” Set annual and smaller goals, and keep working towards them.
-
Show intent
I’ve thought of doing many things at different stages of my life and ended up not doing them. Showing intent is extremely important.
-
You are the average of the five people around you
You’ve probably heard this a lot, but I can’t stress it enough.

Save money for no reason
One of the lessons I have learned from the psychology of money is to save for no reason. Saving for buying a house, planning an international trip, a car is fine, but saving for no reason gives you the ability to do whatever you want, whenever you want, for which the ROI cannot be calculated.
